Two of the tinsel town's biggest stars - Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan seem to be battling with poor health.
While Big B will undergo an abdominal surgery on Saturday at Mumbai Sevenhills hospital, King Khan too has been suffering from fever's plight for past few days.
Bachchan, who broke the news via his blog, wrote on Twitter hours before his surgery, "And yes before the surgery, some more tests and some more discoveries .. a damaged body shall always be subjected to such !!, adding, "But thank you for your concern and wishes .. I shall do my best to insure that the damage is controlled.. though not in my hands now".
This will be Bachchan's fourth surgery. Earlier in 2002, he was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver and later in 2005 he was treated for perforated diverticula-holes in the wall of the intestine. And again in 2008, the actor suffered problems in stomach due to incisional hernia.
Although, according to his doctors, the surgery this time is not very complicated but Big B believes that 'all doctors say the same as one end up on the operating table, and before long the details and the subsequent anxieties begin to rise'.
In another of his blog post after revealing the news, he linked all his health problems as 'a legacy of the past in particular the accident of 1982 and Coolie' adding that the 'subsequent disturbances have all and shall emanate from it.'
On the other hand, Khan, who is suffering from fever, feels that 'it sucks'. In his ever so charming style, he wrote on his twitter account, "Random thot in illness..be uncorrupted..unbowed..unrelenting...raw not precooked..live not prerecorded & yet beautifully flawed. Delirium!!"
"Feeling a wee bit better...maybe another day of bedrest...glee...& seeing my lil girls smiling face...will cure me. Insha Allah..".
Due to his illness, he could not even travel to Berlin with friends including Priyanka Chopra and Farhan Akhtar. Still, he has been giving them tips about what to do and what not to do.
He posted, "Don´s do´s & dont´s for my 3 reps at berlinale. 1.have the D tattoo on at all times.2.no inner warmers at any cost..Don doesn´t wear warmers", adding, "Doisms continued for my don team at berlinale...don´t wear ur cellphone on a belt clip at any cost & don´t dance with ur hands above ur head".
Khan, who is addicted to smoking heavily, is also believed to have quit the habit on his daughter's insistence.
