Gaya, Bihar, Oct 18 (IBNS): At least five Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were killed when Maoists blew up the anti-landmine vehicle in which they were travelling in Gaya district of Bihar on Thursday, officials said.
Several CRPF men were injured in the blast.
The vehicle was destroyed as Maoists triggered an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) explosion at around 6:20 am, said a senior police official.
The deceased were identified as sub-inspector Ramji Ram, constables Vikramaditya Yadav, Ashok Nirala and Rai Singh and driver Lal Babu.
Around four injured CRPF jawans were flown by a helicopter to Patna for treatment while others are undergoing treatment at Gaya´s Anugrah Narayan Magadh Medical College and Hospital.
