The Bihar Police on Tuesday lathicharged a group of protesting contractual teachers as they tried to enter the Bihar Assembly on Tuesday, media reports said.
The police also allegedly used water cannons and fired tear gas shells to disperse the teachers.
The agitating teachers demanded regularization of their services.
According to reports, the police on Monday also lathicharged some protesting teachers.
The opposition parties protested against the incident in both Houses of the Bihar Legislature and demanded a statement from the government on the issue.
