The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has alleged that BJP has betrayed the people of Delhi and its manifesto for the Lok Sabha elections will not have the demand for the full statehood for Delhi.
Speaking to media here, AAP leader Gopal Rai said:" The people of Delhi are feeling betrayed by the BJP. In the last Lok Sabha elections, the BJP had bagged all the seven seats promising full statehood. The Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari is now saying that the full statehood demand would not be there in the BJP's manifesto."
A day after Election Commission (EC) announced the schedule for the Lok Sabha polls, the AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal called a meeting with all office-bearers of the party for deliberating upon the poll strategy".
"After Election Commission announced the dates all parties are making their strategies for the Lok Sabha polls. Today a meeting of all the office-bearers of AAP that includes MP's, declared candidates of Lok-Sabha from AAP, MLA's, counsellors, ward president, Sanghatan Mantri etc will be held with party chief and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal at his residence," said Gopal Rai.
"The AAP will further strengthen its strategy for the Lok Sabha elections," he added. (ANI)
