The Bharatiya Janata Party on Sunday blamed the UPA Government and its allies for creating a ruckus on the first two days of the winter session of Parliament.

Senior BJP leader M.Venkaiah Naidu said the Congress and its key allies such as the Samajwadi Party (SP), the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) were responsible for the present logjam in both houses of Parliament.

"All is not well in the UPA, the ally partners are creating ruckus and disrupting parliament from debate and discussion. FDI is a very serious issue, but the government is betraying its promises made in the house," said Naidu.

The UPA Government is functioning after the Trinamool Congress's withdrawal because of the support of the DMK, SP and BSP. But these parties are against the FDI. So, how can the government think to allow that?" he added.

Naidu reiterated his party stand against the proposed FDI and asked the Congress Party and the UPA Government to come out with clear stand on the issue and on their promise to seek a political consensus.

" If the government will not clear its stand over these issues, it will be difficult to move ahead. We would like to ask why the government is afraid of voting, whether you have no majority or you don't have faith in your ally partners," he asked.

The BJP seeks a debate on the issue of FDI under Rule 184 in the Lok Sabha. Which entails a vote, but the ruling Congress Party has said that the government decision to allow FDI in retail sectors is an executive order and it doesn't need a debate or vote. (ANI)
