I like mountain biking. To me, it is a great way to relax from the stressful city life, a great escape into the magnanimous mountains.
So, over a quiet weekend in the month of October, just a week after the launch of my film at the London School of Economics, I decided to ride up into the Pentlands. It was close to Edinburgh - a Day’s ride - so, I got onto my Giant MTB and escaped into the beautiful Pentlands.

After three hours of riding, I saw an incredibly beautiful view and I decided to take a break. I sipped water from my Camelbak and munched on a sandwich and sat on a rock, lost in thought.
The view was breathtakingly beautiful. So serene, calm and peaceful, as if it was God's dream home.
As I sat there, I wondered why I coudn't do the same in my own land.
And that was the genesis of TreeCycle.
