Brahmaputra Mail collides with goods train in Jharkhand, 4 killed

Sahibganj: Four persons were killed and five others injured when the New Delhi-bound Bramhaputra Mail today collided with a goods train at Karonpuroto, about 25 km from here.

"A bogie of 14055 Bramhaputra Mail derailed and dashed against a stationary goods train, killing four persons," Superintendent of Police (Rail) Praveen Srivastav told PTI over phone.

An Eastern Railway spokesman at its headquarters in Kolkata said five persons had suffered "simple injuries".

Details are awaited, he said.

Relief and rescue team has already left for the spot.
