BSE Sensex rises 95.27 points

The BSE Sensex on Friday climbed by 95.27 points to stand at 16,739.01.

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) Nifty index moved up by 30.20 points or 0.60 percent to stand at 5,048.60.

Earlier on Thursday, the BSE Sensex climbed to its highest close in six months as it rose by 1.17 percent to stand at 16,643.74.
