New Delhi, Aug 28 (IBNS) The government on Tuesday said the Border Security Force (BSF) personnel do not force tribals in Chhattisgarh to confess as Maoists.

"No case of harassing tribals in Chhattisgarh to force them to confess as Maoist has been reported so far," said Jitendra Singh, Minister of State of Home Affairs, in Lok Sabha on Tuesday.

"However, one complaint of alleged physical torture and molestation of the villagers of village Alor, New Alor and Pachangi, District Kanker; and another complaint of alleged harassment of villagers in village Sulangi, Koyalibeda, District Kanker have been reported against BSF personnel in Chhattisgarh State during the years 2010 and 2011 respectively," he said.

"Both the cases have been inquired into by the Sub Divisional Magistrates concerned as well as BSF authorities and the allegations were found to be false, baseless and motivated," said the minister.
