New Delhi: The Delhi Police on Tuesday arrested Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader Deepak Bhardwaj's younger son Nitesh and two others in connection to his murder last month.
The police arrested Nitesh, his friend Neeraj and Bhardwaj's lawyer Baljeet for conspiracy of murder.
The police had earlier quizzed Bhardwaj's wife and Nitesh.
Another key suspect in the case, Swami Pratibhanand, is still on the run.
The police suspect that the spiritual guru might have plotted the BSP leader's assassination.
The Delhi Police have released his photos beside conducting raids in Haryana, Uttarakhand, Bihar and Karnataka in search of him.
The police have arrested two sharpshooters in connection to the case.
BSP leader and business tycoon Bhardwaj, 62, who had also contested polls earlier, was shot dead inside his farmhouse on Mar 26 by the two assailants in south Delhi who then fled the scene.
The slain businessman and politician was one of the richest contestants of elections in 2009 on a BSP party ticket, reports said. He, however, did not win the polls.
Bhardwaj, who had contested from the West Delhi constituency unsuccessfully, had real estate business, hotels and was in the education sector too.
