Ice cream made of camel's milk, which is already famous in the Middle East, is all set to hit the market of the United Kingdom.

The expensive dessert, which is heralded as a healthy treat, low in fat and containing 10 times more iron than cow's milk, costs a whopping 4 pounds per scoop.

Reports said that the treat would be sourced from Europe's only camel dairy farm in The Netherlands.

And after its unveiling at a food show in London next month, the camel ice cream could will go on sale in the UK.

The wacky dessert is created by British business Ginger's Comfort Emporium, a renovated ice cream van 'for grown ups' selling experimentally flavoured ices.

"Camel milk is very creamy but it has a light texture," the Daily Mail quoted organiser Alexa Perrin as saying.

"You can see from how 'superfoods' have taken off in Britain that many people want to buy products that are unusual and have been shown to be very good for the body.

"This years Spectacular will feature over eight and a half thousand square feet of culinary art and offer the first opportunity to sample camel milk ice cream in the UK, a product which will soon be available to purchase more readily throughout the country," she added. (ANI)
