Yoga guru Baba Ramdev on Sunday condoled the death of 23-year-old Delhi gang rape victim, and demanded that the laws should be amended to ensure that capital punishment is given to those accused of the heinous crime.
Ramdev expressed hope that the government will listen to the people's demand and amend the laws regarding sexual assaults.
"Though she has lost her fight for life, but she was a brave girl. She has become a big symbol of protest against rape and sexual harassment. As long as the culprits will be not hanged till death, her soul will be restless. I believe that the government will act to ensure harshest punishment for the rapists," said Ramdev.
He also emphasized that moral and spiritual education should be introduced at the school level along with sex education.
While protesting at the Jantar Mantar in New Delhi earlier last week, Ramdev had alleged that the Congress-led UPA Government has become insensitive. (ANI)
