The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Tuesday filed a chargesheet in a Bangalore court against senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader BS Yeddyurappa and his kins in connection to a land allocation case.
The CBI filed chargesheet against the former Karnataka Chief Minister in connection to illegal mining scam and illegal denotification of lands in the south Indian state.
Yeddyurappa's sons BY Raghavendra and BY Vijayendra, son-in-law RN Sohan Kumar and nine others have also been named in the chargesheet, reports said.
Yeddyurappa, who recently said he will quit the BJP in December, was forced to resign as the Chief Minister of Karnataka on July 31 last year after he was indicted by the then Karnataka Lokayukta N Santosh Hedge in the illegal mining report.
Yeddyurappa and his family members were named by Hegde in what was called a Rs 16,000-crore illegal mining scam.
He walked out of jail on Nov 8 on bail.
