CFL: East Bengal beat Kalighat

I-League leaders Kingfisher East Bengal maintained their winning streak in Sahara Calcutta Football League (CFL) for Super Nine trouncing Kalighat Milan Sangha by 4-0 at Salt Lake Stadium here on Wednesday.

With this win East Bengal climbed to the top of the table with 9 points from 3 matches.

Dominating completely East Bengal´s Andrew Borisic opened the scoring in the 7th minute when he scored with a brilliant left footer off a pass by Subodh Kumar.

Sanju Pradhan increased the tally in the 70th minute with a long ranger. Penn Orji scored the third goal in the 76th minute off a pass by Sanju Pradhan.

Penn thereafter completed the tally in the final minute when he converted a free kick.

Trevor James Morgan resting his turmp card Edeh Chidi and using new recruit from Australia Andrew Barisic, who found his form and scored two goals in local league.

East Bengal with 40 points from 20 games hold the pole position in I-League, a point ahead of second placed Churchill Brothers, who have two games in hand.
