New Delhi, Dec 7 (IBNS) Former Indian Amateur Boxing Federation (IABF) president Abhay Singh Chautala, who is now the president of suspended Indian Olympic Association (IOA), said they were ready to hold re-election into the IABF to satisfy the International Boxing Association (AIBA) which decided to provisionally suspend the IABF over irregularities in its election process.
The Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports in India also soon derecognize Indian Amateur Boxing Federation (IABF) Friday with immediate effect for violating sports code.
"We have asked IABF to correspond with AIBA. We will reply to them if they are not satisfied us and we will ask for their observer to come and we can hold re-election," he said.
Chautala said he is also ready to resign from his present position as IOA chief if required.
Chautala was elected as the president of the Indian Olympic Association, which has been shockingly suspended by IOC.
The International Boxing Association (AIBA) Executive Committee Bureau on Thursday decided to provisionally suspend the IABF.
