Thousands of Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) supporters clashed with the police outside the Rohini court complex here on Tuesday just ahead of a Delhi court's order on sentence against former Haryana chief minister Om Prakash Chautala, his son Ajay Chautala and 53 others guilty of illegally recruiting 3,206 junior basic trained (JBT) teachers.

Just ahead of the court proceedings, thousands of supporters of Chautalas gathered outside the Rohini court and clashed with policemen.

Police tried to disperse the slogan shouting crowds, and also closed the main gates of the premises.

Several supporters kept on standing outside the court. All roads leading to the court complex were full of cars and SUVs of supporters and workers.

Other than the 55 accused, their counsel, prosecutors and the court staff, the judge has not allowed anyone else to enter the court room during the hearing.

Chautala, his MLA son Ajay and 53 others including two IAS officers were yesterday convicted on corruption and other charges by a Delhi court for illegally recruiting 3,206 junior teachers 12 years back, and were sent to Tihar Jail. (ANI)
