Chennai woman found dead in Kerala

Kottayam: A 25-year-old woman from Chennai was found dead in a hotel room in Munnar in Idukki district, police said.

Shamila Subramanian, who had checked in with a man called Mahesh on Oct 6, was found dead by hotel staff members yesterday with stab wounds on her face and a shawl tied around her neck, police said.

As the room was locked from inside and Mahesh is missing, police said they suspect he could have murdered Shamila.
