Chhattisgarh: Cops killed in Maoist attack

Raipur, Apr 27 (IBNS) At least two policemen were killed in an attack by Maoists at Kanker district in Chhattisgarh on Saturday, said officials.

"A joint patrolling team of Border Security Force (BSF) and Kanker Police were conducting a combing operation in the jungles today when Maoists attacked the security personnel near Shakti Ghat," district Superintendent of Police RN Das told reporters.

The deceased cops were identified as sub-inspector Santosh Ekka and head constable Aliram Usendi.
