Chhattisgarh set to host Global Investors Meet

Raipur, Oct 29 (IBNS) Chhattisgarh, a state wracked by Maoist violence, is all geared up to host "Chhattisgarh Global Investors Meet & Exhibition-2012 (GIME)", its first biggest investment summit, from Nov 2 to 3.

Business tycoons from India and abroad like Subrata Roy of Sahara India Group, S.N.Ruia of Essar Group, Gautam Adani of Adanai Group, Anil Agarwal of Vedanta Group, Naveen Jindal are some of the names who would be the guest of honour at the event inauguration.

The state government claimed it has received an overwhelming response from investors. Besides leading business groups, a number of representations from High Commissions in India have also expressed their interest to participate in the GIME - 2012 and indentify opportunities to strengthen bilateral relationship with India.

SAIL India, NTPC, GMR Group, Videocon Industries, Ambience Group, VISA Infrastructure, Rio Tinto, DMRC, Bhilai Steel Plant and High Commissions of Iceland, Kuwait, Trinidad & Tobago, Venezuela along with US Consulate are some of the other prominent participants to the event.

In the wake of creating conducive business environment in the state, Chhattisgarh Government released new policies for Agro-Food Processing, Automotive, IT & ITES, Solar Energy and Infrastructure Industries.

The state government is also developing the internal infrastructure to meet the spiraling business growth in the state.

Global Investors Meet would look forward to hosting a series of discussions deliberating business potential and future business landscape in the state. As part of this mega event an exhibition is also being organized to showcase diverse business opportunities.
