Chidambaram urges people to vote in Gujarat elections

Finance Minister P. Chidambaram on Wednesday urged the people of Gujarat to come out in full force and vote during the first phase of assembly elections to be held on Thursday (December 13).

Addressing a news conference here on the eve of polls, Chidambaram said: "I have come to Ahmedabad and I am very happy to come to Ahmedabad to appeal to the people of Gujarat that this is the time for change, this is a time to elect the Congress party, which laid the foundation for modern Gujarat."

He further said: "Congress pledges for inclusive growth and inclusive development. The 12 point plan that has been placed by the Congress before the people of Gujarat stresses on the inclusive growth and development and I appeal to the people of Gujarat to vote for the Congress party." (ANI)
