Defending champions Churchill Brothers and newly promoted Mohammedan Sporting played a goal-less I-League encounter at Vibekananda Yuba Bharati Kriragan here on Saturday.
A win was still illusive for the Goa outfit, even under new technical director Subash Bhowmick at the tenth match of the season. Bhowmick, who joined recently was looked helpless while Churchill Brothers played out a barren match on the artificial turf.
Second from bottom CB were now with 5 points and were still at relegation zone, newly promoted Md Sporting garnered 12 points, also from ten games and placed 7th in the league table.
Md Sporting tested their defender Mehrajuddin Wadoo for the first time in the I-League this season after the rules for registration were relaxed and Churchill Brothers' latest recruit striker Yasser Shahen also started for his side.
Bhowmick was forced into an early substitution after Naveen Kumar injured himself and in came Sanjay Balmuchu. The two teams had a thing in common with regards to their passing which was poor to say the least. Neither could hold on to the possession and would give away the ball cheaply.
