Delhi Daredevils (DD) defeated Perth Scorchers by three wickets in a Champions League T20 match at Newlands here on Sunday.
Chasing 122 for victory, Delhi reached the winning score of 123 runs in 19.3 overs by losing seven wickets.
Delhi restricted Perth to 121 runs for the loss of five wickets in 20 overs.
Shaun Marsh remained the top scorer for Perth with his 39 runs from 41 balls. He hit six boundaries in his innings.
Morne Morkel picked up three wickets by giving away 19 runs in his four overs for Delhi while Ajit Agarkar scalped two wickets in his four overs.
Agarkar bowled tight and gave away only 14 runs in his four overs.
Chasing 122 for victory, Delhi lost the wicket of Mahela Jayawardene (4) early in the innings.
Virender Sehwag played a crucial knock of 52 runs off 44 deliveries. He hit four boundaries and a six.
Agarkar (11*) and Pawan Negi (7*) remained not out till the end as he helped Delhi reach the target.
