Sydney Sixers thrashed Yorkshire by eight wickets in a Champions League Twenty20 match at Newlands here on Tuesday.
Chasing 97 for victory, Sydney Sixers reached the winning score of 98 runs by losing two wickets in just 8.5 overs.
Michael Lumb (43*) and Brad Haddin (41) added 78 runs in the second wicket partnership to help Sydney Sixers reach the winning score quite easily.
Shane Watson scored 11 runs before he was dismissed by Ryan Sidebottom. He hit a six and a boundary in his innings.
Earlier, Yorkshire scored 96 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 20 overs.
Joe Root remained the top scorer for the English side with his 25 runs.
Mitchell Starc remained the pick of the bowlers for Sydney Sixers as he picked up three wickets by giving away 22 runs in four overs.
