The White House has staged an online election on Facebook to choose between two turkeys that will be pardoned for Thanksgiving by President Obama.
According to the White House, the competition is pitting Gobbler- a 43-pound male with a "patient, but proud" walk against Cobbler that is slightly lighter at 40 pounds and whose favorite song is 'You're so vain' by Carly Simon, the Politico reported.
The early results have shown that Cobbler is leading with 853 "likes" and 196 "shares" on his Facebook page.
While, Gobbler is lagging behind with just 656 "likes" and 123 "shares" on his page.
Both the birds travelled in a police-escorted motorcade from their birthplace in Rockingham County, Virginia, to Washington and then spent two nights at the swank W Hotel.
The winning turkey will take part in the official pardon ceremony with the president but both will live out their days free from the threat of carving knives at the George and Martha Washington estate in Mount Vernon, Virginia. (ANI)
