A delegation of the MPs led by Madhu Goud Yaskhi and M Jagannath made the demand to Defence Minister A K Antony, who is also chairman of the Congress disciplinary committee.

"Jaganmohan violated the party discipline, even colluding with the TDP MPs, who are led by opportunist leader (N) Chandrababu Naidu. We demanded action against Jagan," said Yaskhi.

Cong MP begins indefinite fast for united Andhra

The cracks in the ranks were evident on Tuesday when Congress MPs from Andhra Pradesh clashed over the decision to form Telangana, leading to the Lok Sabha being adjourned for a while.

"The house witnessed a drama orchestrated by Jaganmohan," Yaskhi said. He alleged that Jaganmohan was using the Telangana issue to bring down the Congress government in Andhra Pradesh.

"He (Jagan) is not happy with the party high command for not making him the chief minister (of Andhra Pradesh) after YSR's death," Yaskhi alleged.

Telangana issue splits Congress

When the TDP MPs were allowed to raise the issue of Telangana, which they vociferously opposed, Congress MPs from Telangana disrupted the speech by K N Rao of TDP.

The TDP MPs gathered near Speaker Meira Kumar's podium, they were soon joined by several Congress MPs from Andhra Pradesh including Jaganmohan Reddy. Jaganmohan Reddy was seen shaking hands with TDP members.

He also took a placard stating 'We want united AP' from a TDP MP and held it in the house.
