The Congress Party will benefit if the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) top brass opts to retain Nitin Gadkari as party president, said Digvijaya Singh, Congress general secretary, on Saturday.
Interacting with media in his ancestral home twon of Raghogarh, Singh said: "The continuance of Gadkari as BJP president is in the interest of the Congress, as it will help the party in exposing the BJP"""s corrupt face in the public.
" Gadkari has been cornered by allegations of dubious funding through is Purti Group of companies. Digvijay also said that after Sunday's proposed cabinet reshuffle, Rahul Gandhi could play a bigger role in the Congress Party.
He also termed as incorrect talk of the BJP winning hands down in the Gujarat assembly elections in December. (ANI)
