Banerjee demands ban on CPI-M for 'armed operation' on rivals

"We don't create hooligans and harmads (hired killers) like the CPI-M. We believe in human resource and we build human resources," she said.

Political clashes and killings became a regular occurrence in West Bengal after the Trinamool Congress matched up the ruling CPI-M in political clout having won a large number of Lok Sabha seats and municipalities in all recent elections.

Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee said the CPI-M is no different from the Maoists and termed the ruling party a factory of firearms and bombs.

She said the CPI-M were killing her party workers and blaming the Maoists.

"The Maoists and Marxists are no different," she said.
