CT: Sri Lanka defeat England

London, June 13 (IBNS) Riding on Kumar Sangakkara's unbeaten 134 runs, Sri Lanka defeated England by seven wickets in the eighth match of the ICC Champions Trophy at Kennington Oval here on Thursday.

Chasing England´s 293 for seven, Sri Lanka reached 297 for three with 17 balls to spare in the do-or-die clash for them.

Sangakkara hammered 12 boundaries in his 135-ball knock.

Nuwan Kulasekara remained not out on 58 as he hammered five boundaries and three sixes in his 38-ball inings.

James Anderson picked up two wickets for England.

Earlier, England scored 293 for seven in 50 overs.

Jonathan Trott remained the top scorer for England with his 76.
