Two days after the Delhi High Court granted bail to sacked Commonwealth Games (CWG) Organising Committee (OC) chief Suresh Kalmadi, former CWG OC Secretary General Lalit Bhanot and ex-treasurer M Jayachandran received bail on Saturday.

Bhanot will have to provide a personal bond of Rs. 5 lakh against the bail. Jayachandran on the other hand will need to furnish a personal bond of Rs. 2 lakh.

Kalmadi was granted bail in the Commonwealth Games corruption case on Thursday by the Delhi High Court.

Kalmadi, who was the CWG OC chief but was later sacked after allegations of financial irregularities and poor organization of the Games flew thick and fast against, had to furnish a surety of Rs 5 lakh.

In April last year, Kalmadi was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on charges of awarding illegal contracts to a Swiss firm for Timing-Scoring-Result (TSR) system for the 2010 Commonwealth Games causing a loss of Rs 95 crore to the exchequer.
