The Supreme Court on Friday rejected the bail plea of YSR Congress Party leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy in connection with the disproportionate assets case.
While declining to grant bail, the apex court bench headed by Justice Aftab Alam rejected the petition, saying that it can't grant bail to Jaganmohan at this juncture.
On September 11, while opposing Jagan's bail plea, the CBI had claimed that the trail of his alleged disproportionate assets extended not only to different states but also to several countries.
Reddy, who was arrested on May 27, is at present lodged in the Chenchalguda central prison in Hyderabad under the judicial custody of CBI.
Reddy allegedly conspired with his father and then chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy to dole out favours to companies which made investments into his firms on quid pro quo basis. (ANI)
