Los Angeles, Jan 17 (IANS) Denmark's drama 'In A Better World' has bagged the Golden Globe trophy for the best foreign language film.
Directed by Susanne Bier and written in collaboration with screenwriter Anders Thomas Jensen, it is about coming to terms with the complexity of human emotions, pain and empathy.
It was competing with the likes of 'Biutiful' from Mexico, Spain; 'The Concert' from France; 'The Edge' from Russia and 'I Am Love' from Italy.
'In A Better World' has also been selected as the Danish entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 83rd Academy Awards.
Melissa Leo won the best performance by an actress in a supporting role in a motion picture award for 'The Fighter', which is about boxer 'Irish' Micky Ward and his brother who helped train him before going pro in the mid 1980s.
