Deepika quits 'Race 2', Taurani lashes out

'Race 2', the upcoming flick produced under the Tips Music Films banner, seems to be in ramshackle following the exit of leggy lass Deepika Padukone after a week's shoot.

This has reportedly led to a dispute between the actress and producer Ramesh Taurani, who is apparently not pleased with the whole hullabaloo and problems created.

In an interview to a national daily, he was quoted as saying that despite working in the industry for 25 long years and with high-profile actresses, he hadn't ever faced a situation similar to this.

He further said that Deepika even refused to listen when he tried reaching out to her and didn't even apologize for her actions adding that she seems to have no remorse.

While Taurani says that he adjusted the film's schedule in order to accommodate Deepika's dates, the stories from the actress's side suggest that the schedule of the film kept changing and constant delays forced Deepika to opt out.

There is also a buzz that the actress quit 'Race 2' because she bagged a big Hollywood project.

On the other hand, speculations are on for the replacement of the actress and one name that has surfaced is that of Priyanka Chopra.

Interestingly, this is second exit from the film. Earlier even the 'Dabbang girl' Sonakshi Sinha walked out of the multi-star action-thriller only to be replaced by Jaqueline Fernandes.

The film, which will be released on November 30 this year, is the sequel to the 2008 hit film, Race, starring an ensemble cast that includes Anil Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, John Abraham, Jacqueline Fernandez, Ameesha Patel and Sanjay Dutt.
