Delhi International Airport (P) Limited (DIAL), the operator of the country's busiest airport, on Monday announced the launch of "GMR DELHI AIRPORT" application on Windows 8 platform in collaboration with Microsoft.
Windows 8 is said to be a game changer in computing.
DIAL said it wants to catch the whiff of fresh air expected from the Windows 8.
"This is good news for all the people who intend to fly to Delhi, Delhi Airport passengers and Windows 8 users. The application has hosts of utility features such as real-time flight information, live weather information, access to all passengers' facilities available at the airport. This application can be downloaded at absolutely free of cost from Windows Store website," DIAL said.
Commenting on the development, I Prabhakara Rao, CEO, DIAL, said, "DIAL has a tradition of providing high-quality services to its passengers. Delhi International Airport (P) Ltd (DIAL) is a joint venture company; comprising the GMR Group, Airports Authority of India, Fraport and Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad.
The project being developed by DIAL under Public Private Partnership has been given the mandate to finance, design, build, operate and maintain the Delhi Airport for 30 years with an option to extend it by another 30 years.
