The special National Investigation Agency (NIA) court in Delhi on Wednesday framed additional charges, including that of waging war against the country, against the 2011 Delhi High Court blast case accused Wasim Akram Malik.
According to reports, additional charges under sections 121 (waging war against country), 121A (conspiring to commit certain offences against the State),122 (collecting arms with intention of waging war against Govt) and 123 (concealing with intent to felicitate a design to wage war) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) were framed against Malik.
Malik pleaded not guilty and claimed trial after the court framed charges against him.
The court later fixed Apr 1 as date for recording of evidence in connection to the case.
As many as 15 people were killed and more than 70 others were injured in a powerful blast outside the Delhi High Court on September 7, 2011.
