Amid widespread protests in Delhi following the gruesome rape of a five-year-old girl, the 22-year-old man accused of committing the crime will be produced in court on Sunday.
The accused, identified as one Manoj Kumar had tried to escape to his in-law´s place in home state Bihar but was tracked through his mobile phone location and was was arrested from Muzaffarpur in Bihar on Friday late night.
According to a TV report quoting unnamed sources, the accused has claimed that another man was also involved in the act of assaulting the small girl who was in a miserable state when she was rescued.
Doctors even found foreign objects inside her private parts that caused infection.
The national capital went on a protest mode once again on Saturday with people raising their voices on crimes against women following the brutal rape and mutilation of the five-year-old girl, even as the police facing anger for their initial inaction in rescuing the victim and browbeating her parents arrested the accused from Bihar on Friday late night.
Earlier, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had said he was "deeply disturbed" by the incident that brought back memories of last year´s fatal gang-rape of a 23-year-old medical student on a moving bus in Delhi that prompted an unprecedented public outcry.
Condemning the brutal act, Union Minister of Women and Child Development Krishna Tirath on Saturday said her ministry will extend all possible assistance to the child and her family.

Meanwhile, doctors at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi treating the girl said she is stable now.
