All the nine metro stations near India Gate reopened on Tuesday evening after being shut for three days.

The stations were shut to stop protesters from reaching India Gate, where a large number of demonstrators had gathered over the past few days to protest against the gang rape on a bus in the national capital.

Latest reports said the health of the 23-year-old victim of the gang rape has improved, but she continues to be on ventilator.

Doctors at Safdarjung Hospital said they were trying to reduce the ventilator support.
