New Delhi: A heavy blanket of fog enveloped the national capital on Tuesday morning, hitting air and rail services badly.
According to the Met department, the general visibility at the Indira Gandhi International Airport dipped to 50 metres leading to delays and diversion of flights.
26 domestic and 11 international flights were delayed this morning.
Train services were also affected due to fog in the region. 17 trains have been delayed. On the other hand, around 14 Delhi-bound trains including Purushottam Express, Lal Quila Express are reported to be running late by several hours.
Road traffic was equally chaotic as the motorists tried to navigate through the dense fog.
