Dhoni takes defeat blame on himself

Perth, Jan 15 (IBNS) After India's humiliating defeat in the third Test at the hands of Australia, captain M S Dhoni took the blame of the debacle on him, but hoped to bounce back strongly.

"We will come back strongly," he said after the defeat.

India crashed to their third successive embarrassing loss in Australia as they went down by an innings and 37 runs in the third Test that ended before tea on the third day at the WACA Ground here Sunday.

India, who were trailing by 208 runs, were bowled out for 171 runs in the second innings for their seven successive away Test loss. India were bowled out for 161 runs in the first innings.

Dhoni said: "We didn`t perform well up till now. Warner played really well, in that one session he took the game away from us."

Dhoni said the batting failure hurt the team.

Dhoni defended his senior team members, who failed, saying they have the experience, but "it's just in two back-to-back series that we have failed."



He praised Virat Kohli though, who scored 75 runs.

"We want to win at Adelaide," he said, commenting on the last match of the series.
