
Karnal: Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Tuesday said efforts are being made to ensure that there are no backlog of government jobs in Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes categories.
"Backlog of government jobs in SC and OBC categories in Haryana are being filled up at very fast pace as compared to other states and efforts are being made to ensure that there are no such backlogs," he said at a function organised on the occasion of 635th birth anniversary of Shiromani Sant Guru Ravidas here.
He said the budget allocation of Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes Department in 2011-12 has been increased to Rs 357.42 crore from Rs 79 crore in 2005.
The government is also providing Rs 500 crore scholarships every year to 16.70 lakh SC students.
