Islamabad: At least eight suspected militants were killed when two missiles were fired by US drones in Pakistan's northwest tribal area of North Waziristan Friday night, a media report said.
The strike took place around 9.30 p.m. in the Mir Ali area of Miranshah, a town in North Waziristan, reported Xinhua citing a TV channel.
A house suspected of being a militant's hideout and a vehicle were targeted in the strike.
Till date, a total of 463 people, most of them believed to be suspected militants, have reportedly been killed in such drone strikes.
The strike came shortly after the Pakistani leadership Friday expressed discontentment with a top US military official's accusation that Pakistan's spy agency ISI is supporting the Al Qaeda-linked Haqqani network in Afghanistan, which is targeting US-led international forces.
