Television and film producer Ekta Kapoor and actor Amrita Rao turned a year older on Thursday.
Ekta, who was born on June 7, 1975 to actor Jeetendra and Shobha Kapoor, turned 37.
Amrita, who was born on June 7, 1981 in Mumbai to a Chitrapur Saraswat Brahmin family, turned 31.
Ekta is the Joint Managing Director and Creative Director of Balaji Telefilms and has produced innumerable television series like Hum Paanch, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Kahiin To Hoga, Kaahin Kissii Roz, Kkusum, Kaisa Ye Pyar Hai, Kasamh Se and Bandini .
She has produced several Bollywood films also that include Kyo Kii... Main Jhuth Nahin Bolta, Kucch To Hai, Krishna Cottage, Love Sex aur Dhokha, Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai, Shor in the City, Ragini MMS and superhit Vidya Balan starrer The Dirty Picture.
Her upcoming productions include Kyaa Super Kool Hai Hum, Lootera, Shootout at Wadala, Rock The Shaadi and Once Upon a Time Again.
On the other hand, Amrita started her career as a model and made her film debut with the film Ab Ke Baras.
She gained recognition for acting in the film Ishq Vishk opposite actor Shahid Kapoor and earned a Filmfare nomination in the "Best Female Debut" category.
Her other film projects include Masti, Main Hoon Na and Vaah! Life Ho To Aisi to name a few.
