Emirates, one of the world's fastest growing airlines, on Friday said it has moved its operations in Kolkata to the new integrated terminal of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport.
The first Emirates flight to operate from the new facility was the EK 571 on Thursday when passengers were able to experience the new surroundings and features of the new integrated Terminal 2.
"On behalf of the entire Emirates India team, I would like to congratulate the Airports Authority of India (AAI) for the opening of the new Terminal 2 at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport," said Essa Sulaiman Ahmad, Vice President India & Nepal, Emirates Airline.
"We are confident Terminal 2 will offer passengers greater convenience and improved services going forward. The new facility will provide a stimulus to international travel from Kolkata and benefit the many international tourists that fly into Kolkata on Emirates."
Emirates operates 12 weekly flights from Kolkata to Dubai:
EK 571 operates daily, leaving Kolkata at 08.55 and arriving at Dubai International Airport at 12.45.
EK 573 operates 5 times a week (except on Tuesday's and Wednesday's) departing Kolkata at 20.30 and arrives in Dubai at 00.30 the following day.
