England defeated India by 10 wickets on the fourth day of the second Test at Wankhede Stadium on Monday and levelled the series 1-1.
At the end of Sunday´s play, India were staring an embarrassing defeat as they lead just by 31 runs with three wickets in hand.
Batting first, India scored 327 in the first innings riding on Pujara´s 135. England replied with 413.
The home team could only manage 142 in the second innings with only Gautam Gambhir (65) and R Ashwin (11) reaching double figures.
England openers Cook (18 not out) and Compton (30 not out) took just 9.4 overs to score the winning runs on Monday.
