Exiled Tibetans and monks assembled at a temple here on Sunday to pray for peace of the departed soul of the Delhi gang rape victim who died on Saturday and was cremated in Delhi on Sunday.

More than 100 Tibetan students and teachers from 21 different schools offered prayers to extend their solidarity with the victim's family and pray for her soul.

The gang rape provoked protests and rare national debate about violence against women.

The 23-year-old medical student had suffered brain injuries and massive internal damage in the attack on December 16, and had been taken to Singapore for treatment.

Six suspects were charged with murder after her death. (ANI)
