A Fire broke out on the thirteenth floor of a residential building early on Friday morning.
The floor was under construction and it was vacant. No casualties have been reported.
Jetti, an eyewitness, said: "When we came here, the sky was red because of the flames and the intensity of the fire was increasing. Everyone from the neighbourhood gathered here. The fire tenders rushed the spot at around 4:15 am (local time), but I cannot say when did the fire b reak out."
Fire tenders were sent to put out the blaze. The cause of the fire is not ascertained.
An eyewitness, Prakash Singh Puri, said: "Everyone is safe and no one was hurt and there are no causalities. Only wood that was kept for construction inside the apartment is burnt down."
Fire safety regulations are lax, rarely implemented and not periodically reviewed in most residential and small-scale commercial places and firms across India. (ANI)
