Fire on Tamil Nadu Express kills 25, several injured

Hyderabad: A coach of the New Delhi-Chennai Tamil Nadu Express caught fire at 4:30 am this morning. The incident took place when the train passed Nellore station.
25 people have died in the incident while several have been injured.
According to Nellore District Collector Sridhar, the fire was caused due to short circuit near the toilet of the train. The train was immediately brought to a halt and the fire brigade was pressed into service and the blaze was extinguished, they said.
A relief and rescue train has already been rushed to the spot,South Central Railway (SCR) officials said.
