New Delhi: A shooting took place inside the farmhouse of liquor baron Ponty Chadha in south Delhi on Saturday and one person could have been killed, reports said.
Some unidentified people opened fire at the Mehrauli farmhouse, but the details of casualty was not confirmed yet though initial reports indicated of one relative's death. It was not confirmed by police yet though reports suggested that the bullets killed his brother.
On Oct 5, a firing was reported from a house owned by the Uttar Pradesh liquor baron in his Moradabad house.
Chadha, now 55, rules the liquor trade in Uttar Pradesh and he was controversial too and known for enjoying special favours during the regime of former UP chief minister Mayawati.
There were allegations that he bought liquor at cheap rates and sold them later at a premium.
Chadha is also a real estate baron and was in news after the Supreme Court issued a notice to the UP government on land allotments in Noida.
Chadha and his two brothers own the Chadha Group, which is consolidated under the Wave brand.
