Five Maoists arrested in Jharkhand

Ranchi, Feb 11 (IANS) Five Maoist guerrillas were arrested on outskirts of Ranchi Saturday, police said.

According to police, the rebels belonging to People's Liberation Front of India (PLFI) were arrested from Tupudana, around 20 km from Ranchi, and six mobiles and two pistols were seized from them.

Maoists are active in 18 of the 24 districts of the state.
