London, Nov 19 (IBNS) The Court of Appeal will hear of jailed Pakistani cricketers Sakman Butt and Mohammad Aamir's cases on Wednesday with the Lord Chief Justice presiding.
Butt and Aamir were jailed for 30 months and six months respectively after being found guilty of conspiracy to accept corrupt payments and cheat in relation to bowling deliberate no-balls during the Lord's Test against England last year.
Besides the duo, another fast bowler Mohammad Asif and the trio´s agent Mazhar Majeed were also given jail terms for spot-fixing.
The Daily Telegraph reported that the conviction of the three cricketers have reopened the debate about fixing which became even more heated on Friday when the international players' union criticised Lord Condon's comment earlier this week that "every international team, at some stage, had someone doing funny stuff".
Tim May, the chief executive of the Federation of International Cricketers' Associations, asked to see proof.
