London, Nov 23 (IBNS) The London's Court of Appeal on Wednesday rejected the appeals of jailed Pakistani cricketers Salman Butt and Mohammad Aamer.

Butt and Aamer had appealed against the length of their jail sentences.

Butt has been sentenced to two and half years in jail, while Aamer has to spend six months in a juvenile detention centre.

Butt, was earlier termed as the "orchestrator" of the scam that was revealed after a sting operation on Mazhar Majeed by the now-defunct tabloid The News of the World in August last year.

The three cricketers were found guilty of spot-fixing during the Lord´s Test last year.

The hotel rooms of the cricketers were raided by the police after the sting and cash was recovered which the trio could not explain.

Butt was banned for 10 years, five of which were suspended, Asif for seven years, while Aamer was suspended for five years by the International Cricket Council in earlier disciplinary action against the trio.
